Syllabus Recognition

CMAA Club Instructors are free to teach from their own existing syllabus, or they may formulate a new one and have it fully recognised and certified by us. We have been doing this since 2002 and due to our success in this area other ma groups have emulated our process, amongst others.

Alternatively Instructors can use one of ours as written by CMAA President Andrew Morrell as follows, these can all be downloaded from the Instructor Area on this website.

COBRA FMA

This combines Karate, Kickboxing & Ju-Jitsu into a unique style of self-defence.

COBRA FREESTYLE

This style is would suit almost any striking art (Karate, Tae Kwon Do etc.) as it contains self defence techniques as well as pad work and hand / foot combinations. It can be adapted to suit the specific style by including Kata, Forms etc.

COBRA KICKBOXING

This is Freestyle Kickboxing with a Muay Thai base.

COBRA KICK-JITSU

Kick-Jitsu is a combination of Ju-Jitsu and Kickboxing and is used by many MMA clubs.

What ever is decided all grades gained will be recognised, registered and certified by the CMAA.
